Market Alert Jan 28, 2018

OVERALL EXTREME Transportation is extremely tight and rates continue to increase as the rollout day for the federally mandated e-log approaches when truck drivers must begin to electronically log their hours of service. An extreme shortage of drivers exists in the western U.S. due to federal regulations regarding non-citizen drivers not being permitted to drive loads that originate in the United States.

LEMONS - EXTREME Supply is short and prices are very high. Quality is good.

MUSHROOM - ESCALATED Mushroom growers suffered heavy damage in the South and Southeast, as well as Puerto Rico. Hurricane Harvey and Irma contributed to this tightening market. The American Mushroom Institute expects supply to be affected for several months.

ORANGES - EXTREME Supply is still short and prices are running high.

Glossary
